The Socialist Republic of Vietnam's Decree No. 141/2006 - Promulgating the List of Legal Capital Levels of Credit Institutions outlines the minimum legal capital amounts various financial institutions such as commercial banks, investment banks, and policy banks, must have in order to operate in the country. The State Bank Governor is assigned to handle, even withdraw establishment and operation licenses of financial institutions that have their allocated legal capital amounts lower than legal capital levels stipulated. The decree also outlines the timeline for compliance with the stipulated capital levels.
