Assembly of Kyrgyzstan - Law on Micro Finance Organizations, as Amended up to April 26, 2013

The Assembly of Kyrgyzstan's "Law on Micro Finance Organizations" outlines the status, as well as  the responsibilities of micro finance (MF) companies operating in the country. It provides measures for the licensing and regulation of the MF organizations' activities, and defines the goal of micro finance organizations' activities as to provide accessible micro finance services to alleviate poverty, increase employment, and assist in the development of entrepreneurship and social mobilization of the country's population. The law is divided into several chapters, and sets forth provisions on the following topics:

1. Licensing the Activity of Micro Finance Company
2. Regulation of the Activity of Micro Finance Company
3. Micro Credit Companies and Micro Credit Agencies
4. Protection of Consumer Rights and Responsibilities of Micro Finance Organizations
