Compilation of Circulars Regulating Financial Consumer Protection in Argentina

This is a compilation of circulars regulating the treatment of financial service consumers. These circulars include a list of basic rights to which financial service consumers are entitled. They also set basic guidelines on customer service and information transparency.   

Circular No. 5460 states users' rights. These include the right to security, the right to access information, and the right to equal treatment. It also introduces guidelines on all charges, interest rates and surcharges which may be charged to customers. It explicitly states the types of fees which entities cannot charge.  

Circular No. 5849 outlines customer service best practices. It provides the minimum duties and responsibilities which designated officers need to follow when offering their products.
