Electronic Transactions Law No (85) of 2001


This law eases the use of electronic means in transaction procedures, complementing all existing regulatory framework. It applies to all electronic transactions, records and data approved by governmental and nationally recognized institutions.

This law outlines the cases under which the retention of documents may be enforced, and the provisions needed to authenticate a person's records and electronic signatures.
