Instruction No. 3 for the year 2011 Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Instructions for Entities Exercising any of the Financial Activities Stipulated in Item 5 of Paragraph (a) of Article (13) of the AML Law in force


This instruction applies to selected entities issuing financial instruments, funding credit or issuing debt. It is required for them to exert due diligence to identify the customer's legal status, thus requiring customers to provide legal documents certifying it.

This instruction makes entities responsible for following necessary procedures to verify the identity of the client. It requires financial entities to audit and actively supervise large transactions and keep records of all client transactions.
