Regulation No. 0003 supplements and amends the insurance code regarding micro-insurance for member states of the Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets (CIMA). The document is divided into six parts. The first part is on micro-insurance contracts and covers the topics of general provisions relating to rules for micro-insurance contracts and contributions, exclusions, and indemnity. The second part is on micro-insurance companies, and covers regulations governing micro-insurance company operations, as well as goes through general provisions and control. Part three delineates accounting rules applicable to agencies micro-insurance, while Part four is on intermediaries for micro-insurance operations, and covers authorized entities, licensing, and compensation. Part five is on taxation, and Part six covers transitional provisions.
