The National Bank of Rwanda's Regulation No. 05/2009 aims to promote the maintenance of an efficient, fair, safe and stable insurance market. It establishes a regulatory framework for the practice of the insurance business in the country, with a focus on licensing, and sets forth other related requirements for insurance institutions.
