The National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China's Consumer Protection Law aims to protect the lawful rights and interests of consumers, maintain social economic order, and promote the health development of the socialist market economy. The law protects the rights and interests of consumers purchasing or using goods or accepting services. The law is divided into several chapters, and sets forth provisions on the following topics:
