Regulations for Mobile Banking Interoperability 2016

These Regulations were issued by the Central Bank - SBP - under the Payment Systems and Electronic Fund Transfers Act, 2007 for Third Party Service Providers and Authorized Financial Institutions offering Mobile Banking services and require interoperability between the parties.

These Regulations must be read in conjunction with the Branchless Banking Regulations and the telecommunications regulator's similar requirements for interoperability. 

The Regulations are for interoperability purposes within branchless banking domain, whereas Payment System Operators and Payment System Providers (PSO/PSP) shall provide an electronic platform for clearing, processing, routing and switching of electronic transactions under Rules for Payment System Operators and Payment Service Providers issued and as amended by State Bank of Pakistan from time to time.
