Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan - Law on Consumers' Rights Protection


The Republic of Tajikistan's law "On Consumers' Rights Protection" seeks to change attitudes arising between consumers and manufacturers, executors, and sellers for the sale of goods (performance of works, rendering of services). The law establishes the rights of consumers to purchase goods (works, services) of appropriate quality that is safe for life and health, and the right to receive information on the goods (works, services) and about their manufacturers (executors, sellers). The law provides for the state and public protection of the interests of consumers, as well as the legal mechanism for the realization of these rights. The law is divided into several parts, and sets forth provisions on the following topics:

1. Protection of the Rights of Consumers at Sale of the Goods
2. Protection of the Rights of Consumers at Performance of Works (Rendering of Services)
3. The State and Public Protection Customs of Consumers
