Telecommunications Law No. (13) of 1995

This law dictates the general policy of the telecommunications and information technology sectors of the Kingdom of Jordan. It appoints the Ministry of Telecommunications as the responsible of coordinating the biennal national strategic plan in accordance to this policy.

This law creates the framework for the research and development in the areas of telecommunications and information technology. The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission is responsible for regulating telecommunications and information technology services in the Kingdom in accordance with the established general policy, to ensure the provision of high quality telecommunications and information technology services to beneficiaries at reasonable prices.
